This standard is applicable to corrugated cardboard boxes (hereinafter referred to as corrugated cardboard boxes) used for transportation packaging of export products.

According to the packaging capacity of corrugated cardboard boxes and the types of corrugated cardboard used, corrugated cardboard boxes are divided into the 8 types listed in Table 1.

2 Technical requirements
2.1 Materials
<st1:chsdate isrocdate="False" islunardate="False" day="30" month="12" year="1899">2.1.1 Use corrugated cardboard specified in GB5034-85 "Corrugated cardboard for export product packaging" for processing corrugated cardboard boxes.
2.1.2 Use metal flat wires with coating from size 16-18 for nailing corrugated cardboard boxes. The metal flat wires must not have cracks or any defects in use.
2.1.3 Polyvinyl acetate lotion or other adhesives with bonding effect shall be used for bonding corrugated boxes.
2.2 Quality
2.2.1 The box should be square, with a clean surface, and there should be no obvious appearance defects or other shortcomings in use.
2.2.2 The overlap width of corrugated cardboard boxes shall not be less than 30mm. The boxes shall be nailed together using diagonal or horizontal nails. The box nails are arranged neatly and evenly spaced. The distance between double nails shall not exceed 75mm, the distance between single nails shall not exceed 55mm, and the distance between the head and tail nails and the centerline of the indentation shall not exceed 20mm. The box nails must be fully nailed to the joint.
2.2.3 The pressure bearing capacity of corrugated cardboard boxes should meet the requirements of the product and transportation process.
After the corrugated cardboard box is formed, the thickness of the corrugated cardboard shall not be less than the lower limit value of the corresponding corrugated height specified in GB5034-85.
3 Structure and dimensions
3.1 The structure of corrugated cardboard boxes is based on the basic form of "matching lid box", and other forms of corrugated cardboard boxes can also be used.
3.2 The specifications and dimensions of corrugated cardboard boxes shall comply with the requirements of GB4892-85 "Dimensions Series for Rigid Rectangular Transport Packaging".
4 Acceptance Rules
4.1 Corrugated cardboard boxes should be delivered in batches. The production factory guarantees that the corrugated cardboard boxes leaving the factory comply with the provisions of this standard and issue a certificate of conformity.
4.2 The shipper shall conduct acceptance according to this standard. When it is found that the basic indicators do not meet the standard requirements, the unqualified indicators can be rechecked.
4.3 If one of the dimensions, thickness, burst resistance, puncture strength, edge compression strength, adhesive strength, or moisture content does not meet the village standard, or if more than 10% of the cardboard boxes do not meet other indicators of this standard, then the batch of cardboard boxes is considered unqualified.
5. Marking, packaging, transportation, and storage
5.1 The storage and transportation markings of cardboard boxes shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of GB191-85 "Pictorial Markings for Packaging and Storage", and the markings of dangerous goods shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of GB190-85 "Packaging Markings for Dangerous Goods".
5.2 The manufacturer should package corrugated cardboard boxes according to user requirements.
5.3 Ensure that corrugated cardboard boxes are not directly affected by rain, snow, exposure to sunlight, and pollution during transportation. During loading and unloading, it is not allowed to throw it from a high place or use tools that may damage the quality of the product.
5.4 The storage warehouse should be kept ventilated and dry, and good protective measures such as covering and padding must be taken for short-term outdoor storage.
